If you ever tuned in to Net Biz Radio when I co-hosted, you'll remember that the second hour was Terry Gibbs, the eBay guy. (He's an expert on using eBay to generate leads). Terry is always willing to provide clear, concise information to others.
Terry does a fundraiser every year in May for a different charity. This year's is personal. Terry's dad passed away from cancer on May 10th.
To honor his dad, he's doing something really special for all ... more»

Last night my daughter was working, son was at the movies, hubby was in "the cave" and I was working at the computer with the TV on for background noise.
Well, I ended up putting the computer aside and watching a really interesting show on 20/20. With the exception of one story, the entire hour was devoted to how the average person can get rich.
If you didn't catch or TIVO the show, below are links to the recaps. Check ... more»

Most of the time, we read of Ebay™ scams affecting purchasers. (A friend of my moms was recently bilked out of $800+ purchasing through Ebay. She has proof...but nobody will do anything, including the police).
Another common scam involving Ebay are Phishing scams. If you don't know what that is, read "How Not To Get Hooked By a Phishing Scam" written by the Federal Trade Commission.
But, scams also affect those who sell through Ebay, as reported ... more»
In yesterday's edition of The Framington TAB, there was an article about RealCashPrograms, based out of Swanton, Virginia. Seems that consumers told the Better Business Bureau that the company promised "lots" of money for doing things like shopping, taking surveys, and watching tv. Allegedly, they told people that they could earn up to $95 per hour for these activities. You, kind reader, just need to send in a fee and you'd get the inside scoop.
Today I was listening to The Clark Howard Show in the car and a guy called in asking about 12 Daily Pro and wondering if it was a scam.
Clark came right out and said it was an illegal pyramid. First time I’ve heard him actually use that term when referring to a company. Basically, he said that if the best interest rate out there is around 5%, why would these people pay 12% every 12 days. Since I... more»
Interesting twist to the story of the woman who helped her husband escape from jail.
“Cabdriver Mike Wagers said the Hyattes gave him two $100 bills for the $185 fare. He said he didn't recognize the pair or notice a leg wound police said Jennifer Hyatte suffered in the shootings.
“Wagers did become suspicious, though, when they told him they were headed to an Amway convention. Their sales pitch didn't seem nearly aggressive enough, he said.... more»
The Financial Freedom Society’s CEO Kelly Reese recently announced that the company was increasing the commission pay out to 90%.
Now that may sound impossible, but FFSI does not manufacture products. That limits costs dramatically because you don’t need manufacturing facilities, hundreds of employees, packaging, etc. And, Kelly feels that the majority of the revenues should go to those producing the revenue for the company – their Membership Consultants.
Y’all know I’m an advocate of a strong product available at ... more»
On April 11th, The Longaberger Company announced it was laying off 360 manufacturing and distribution workers effective immediately.
Since 2000, the privately held company has eliminated more than 4000 jobs, including 999 positions which were cut between September-December 2004. The latest round of layoffs ... more»
People constantly argue with me about the necessity to develop multiple streams of income in relation to your home business. This is just one of the reasons why I teach this concept.
It came as no surprise to me to learn that Everyday Wealth was making changes. Here’s an announcement that just popped into my email. Again…notice that representatives were given NO notice.
Important Changes to the EverydayWealth Sales Strategy and Compensation Program Effective April 8th, 2005
It’s bad enough that they’re calling at home. But now, telemarketers can call you on your cell phone. And, it’ll cost you money since most plans include a set number of minutes.
Now, there’s been some talk in the news as to whether people will have access to these numbers. Many feel these numbers won’t be readily accessible.
However, yesterday my young daughter received a call on her cell phone selling .... more»
