One of the biggest mistakes I see sales reps and entrepreneurs make is diarrhea of the mouth. They are either so taken with their own voices or so nervous that they can't deal with silence, that they'll talk themselves OUT of a sale.In any sales situation there are two critical times when you need to talk LESS and shut up MORE.
The first is when you are trying to find out what the customer wants. I see people asking questions and then chomping at the bit to interrupt their customer and pontificate on the subject further.
