It’s often been said that joining an MLM company can provide you with some of the best training for any type of business absolutely free. A perfect example of how true that statement is came this morning.
I was reading my weekly newsletter from Jeffrey Gitomer today and someone was asking for recommendations on a network marketing company. While Jeffrey didn’t give any specifics, he did say:
“Most people do not know that my first exposure to sales and positive attitude was through Glenn W. Turner in a multilevel marketing program called "Dare To Be Great." I learned as much as I could about selling, and during that year, I dedicated myself to positive-attitude achievement.”
I actually met Glenn Turner at a seminar a few months ago and, though he's getting up in years, he's quite a sharp and engaging guy. His was one of the best presentations I heard at the conference. If you haven't heard of Jeffrey, he's a published author and one of the country's foremost sales trainers. I was absolutely blown away to learn that he got his start through his association with MLM.
Several of my business associates are college students majoring in marketing. They feel the training they are receiving through me and FFSI Corporate is the best “real world” training they’ve been exposed to.
Even for those wanting to develop their own products and services, the training you can receive from being connected with a networking company or a well run affiliate programs, is worth more than its weight in gold.
By studying their web sites, sales presentations, sizzle calls, and training centers for associates, you can apply these same techniques to your business. They have the staff and resources to market test different variables and select the one that produces best.
For anyone contemplating product development or a sales and marketing career, you just can’t beat the “field” training!
