One of the biggest mistakes I see sales reps and entrepreneurs make is diarrhea of the mouth. They are either so taken with their own voices or so nervous that they can't deal with silence, that they'll talk themselves OUT of a sale.

In any sales situation there are two critical times when you need to talk LESS and shut up MORE.

The first is when you are trying to find out what the customer wants. I see people asking questions and then chomping at the bit to interrupt their customer and pontificate on the subject further. You already know what your voice sounds like and your prospect isn't that interested....unless your voice is focused on how you can help them. Ask questions and then SHUT UP and listen.

Most of the time, we read of Ebay™ scams affecting purchasers. (A friend of my moms was recently bilked out of $800+ purchasing through Ebay. She has proof...but nobody will do anything, including the police).

Is MLMScamZone a Scam?

Recently, I stumbled upon a press release written about MLMScamZone.com. This is apparently an unbiased site that basically put down all network marketing companies (MLM's) as scams. That is, until the owner joined an MLM. The release said, in part, "This single MLM opportunity was discovered to have the highest potential for earnings and successes, without any scams or hidden chances for failure that aren’t visible upon initial registration."

Send Out Cards: Alex Mandossian Promoting MLM?

Send Out Cards is a network marketing company which provides postcards and cards which can be ordered online, yet physically delivered. I like Send Out Cards because they have a retailable, in demand product at a reasonable retail price...not something all companies can claim.

So, when I received an email about a teleseminar by Alex Mandossian called "Postcard Autoresponders", I suspected tha that Send Out Cards might be behind it. What I found intriguing about this is the fact that a well-known Internet Marketer would be promoting a network marketing company. While many marketers are MLM members, few mention it publically. Networkers are seen as the bane of society it seems!

So, I had to tune in to the call and see how Alex was going to position Send Out Cards. Was he going to tell people to take out a sheet of paper and draw circles? I was really interested...

How should a company reign in a wayward rep? You know....those people who are so outrageous and sophmoric that you pray they quit mentioning they're one of your reps!

In most cases, the agenda of these people is to use public forums to prospect. That, in itself, is not a problem as long as you follow the forum rules. But, in the quest to posture themselves, so as to draw prospects to their business like moths to a flame, some are too immature to understand that their words and actions speak volumes about their character. Instead of attracting - they simply repel.

Such is the story today about a rep with a recently launched program called 1StepSystem. I've been contacted by no less than four people in just a few days about this business and I figured I'd better do some research so I could be knowledgeable should people seek my opinion.

During my search I came across a message board (which I won't publicize here) with an overzealous rep named David. A forum visitor asked about this program and David staked his claim like a wildcatter about to strike oil. Seems that ...

In yesterday's edition of The Framington TAB, there was an article about RealCashPrograms, based out of Swanton, Virginia. Seems that consumers told the Better Business Bureau that the company promised "lots" of money for doing things like shopping, taking surveys, and watching tv.
